My Closing Statement

As we approach the end of the campaign, I'd like to pause and reflect, not just as a candidate

but as a mother, a neighbor, and a cherished member of our community.

My dual heritage deeply influences my values. Chinese culture champions performing good

deeds without expecting returns, reflecting a quiet but steadfast altruism. Meanwhile, the

American ethos celebrates the concept of "paying it forward," a proactive form of giving.

Combined, these traditions advocate for selfless service, guiding my mission for educational

progress and community harmony.

Amid the campaign's peak, I attended the New Jersey School Board Association's candidate

training twice, registered as an ArtsEd NJ Champion, and embraced the "All Together New

Jersey" pledge. These actions underscore my dedication to informed leadership and belief incontinuous learning. Collaboration has been a cornerstone of my campaign. Whether synergizing with our town council, working alongside the current BOE, or joining hands with various committees, my commitment to being a great team player remains unwavering.

At the core of my endeavors lies a personal desire: to be a beacon for my children. Though theyare still young at 8 and 6, I hope they observe their mother's dedication. I may not always vocalize my intentions, but through my actions, I want them to absorb lessons of perseverance, community involvement, and deep-rooted love — values I hold dear from my own upbringing.

I am filled with gratitude for everyone who has joined me on this journey. The encouragement, support, and faith bestowed upon me by the community have been both humbling and empowering. With the esteemed endorsement by the West Essex Tribune, I am reminded of the trust placed in me by our collective community. This election is a pivotal moment for Livingston.
