Fang’s first term has given her more than additional knowledge—it has also brought the experience of learning how this Board works together, how complex issues develop over time, and how much thoughtful governance depends on continuity as well as preparation. She hopes to carry that experience forward, building on the investment the Board has already made in learning together and bringing stronger judgment and perspective to the work still ahead.
Statewide Service & Continues Learning
Throughout her first term, Fang has continued her professional development through NJSBA statewide and Essex County programs, boardwide NJSBA training, and the Strauss Esmay School Law & Policy Seminar. Beyond Livingston, she has represented the district through NJSBA Delegate Assemblies and was appointed to an NJSBA Nominating Committee Task Force—broadening her knowledge and perspective while continuing to bring that experience back to her Board service in Livingston.

NJSBA Delegate for Livingston Public Schools
Appointed by the Livingston Board of Education to serve as the district’s NJSBA delegate for two consecutive years, representing Livingston as its voting member at the NJSBA Delegate Assembly and participating in statewide policy discussions and decisions affecting New Jersey public schools. -
NJSBA Nominating Committee Task Force
Appointed to serve on the task force supporting NJSBA’s statewide governance and leadership process.
These roles have given Fang the opportunity to represent Livingston directly in NJSBA’s statewide work while gaining broader perspective on issues facing school districts across New Jersey.
