Burnet Hill parents gathered at Forum Coffee after seeing our children off on their first day of school. It was a wonderful morning of connection and encouragement as we cheered on our children—and one another—for a happy and successful school year ahead.

New Jersey Chinese Teachers Association Annual Conference
I attended professional-development sessions at the NJCTA Annual Conference and learned from educators dedicated to Chinese-language teaching. I was also proud to see my daughter perform alongside her friends from the Flying Strings Youth Ensemble, led by pipa artist and educator Yang Jin.

LACD Pool Party
A joyful afternoon with community members of all abilities, their families, volunteers, and neighbors at the Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities Pool Party. It was wonderful to see our community come together in a welcoming environment centered on inclusion, friendship, and fun.

Music Matters Jazz Concert
An uplifting afternoon at the Livingston Public Library’s Music Matters series, featuring Livingston pianist and composer Ellie Seunghyung Lee and her jazz band. It was especially meaningful to see her middle-school daughter join the musicians on clarinet—a wonderful example of young people participating in the arts.

SamVaad Concert
A wonderful morning at the SamVaad Concert, presented as part of IndiaFest by Sanskriti of New Jersey. I brought my father and daughter, making it especially meaningful to enjoy the beautiful music together across three generations. They loved the performances—and the cookies and milk tea were special treats!

Barnes & Noble Livingston Grand Opening
It was wonderful to celebrate the grand opening of Barnes & Noble’s bright new Livingston location and meet author Judith Natelli McLaughlin. As a parent who values education and lifelong learning, I am glad our community continues to have a welcoming place for books, discovery, and connection.
